Underneath the sea the people swim in, are the words of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, written in Paris, 10 December 1948. In this painting the words are illegible, but they are there, much like our inherent human rights. As we attend our daily activities of leisure and play, we function because of an underlying agreement that we all unconsciously hold. That we are born free and equal in dignity and rights. That we all deserve respect, kindness and love, and the things that try to seperate us are never as strong as what binds us together.
